Boudoir photography holds space for vulnerability, transformation, and personal truth. Yet, despite its depth and impact, it has rarely been acknowledged with the same seriousness afforded to other artistic disciplines.
The Intimate Arts Society was established to change that.
Through an annual, in person awards gala, the Society recognizes artists whose work demonstrates excellence in storytelling, technical execution, and emotional impact — honoring not only the image, but the intention behind it.
The Society is guided by principles of independence, fairness, and respect for the artist.
All submissions are juried.
All judging is conducted blindly.
All recognition is earned.
By maintaining clear standards and an intentional process, the Society exists to elevate the work — not the noise surrounding it.
The Inaugural Intimate Arts Society Awards mark the beginning of a long term commitment to thoughtful recognition within the intimate arts.
Built slowly.
Guided by intention.
Designed to endure.
Sipping chartreuse and green tea while looking at the most perfect white subway tile and hand painted signs. Driving through the mountains to Portland reminiscing about the best memories back home. Cozy sweaters, vintage demin, and Pabst while telling one of a kind love stories. The trials and tribulations of love, joy, and happiness. Lastly, champagne brunch and avocado toast while surrounded by the finest exposed brick, dreamcatchers, and maps to our souls. Dreamcatchers, macrame and 100 Days of Summer. Anthropologie trips and walks on the beach, love letters and secret admirers. Fall breeze, flannels, and hot cocoa. Whales and dinosaurs and handmade crafts. Salvage denim, antique leather bags, and the first time we watched Moonrise Kingdom.
